ROLLER CITY BAYSWATER SKATING CLUB

 

Artistic Branch

Roller City Bayswater Skating Club is an affiliated Club of Roller Sports Australia, the National body for Roller Skating within Australia, and its State body Roller Sports Victoria.

  RCBSC has been in existence for over 20 years.  It is one of the most successful and largest Roller Sports Australia affiliated skating clubs in Australia.  RCBSC has a constituted committee made up from its membership.  The Committee meets on a monthly basis to attend to all Club business.

  Artistic Roller Skating is one of the three disciplines of Roller Skating offered at Roller City Bayswater Skating Club.

 

What is Artistic Roller Skating?

  Artistic roller skating is a fun, safe sport that is performed world wide.  Artistic roller skating has grace, speed and skill on show and can offer you fun and fitness, competitions at Local, State, National and International levels and the chance to make new friends from across the country and around the world.

  At Roller City Bayswater Skating Club we offer the following disciplines of Artistic Roller Skating.

Figures:

Intricate turns and shapes whilst tracing a figure eight and loop shape marked on the skating surface.  There are over sixty different figures to learn.

Freeskating:

The skater (or pair of skaters) performs to music a choreographed routine consisting of a variation of jumps, spins and intricate footwork.

Dance:

Ballroom style techniques, skaters perform as a team (Pairs) or individual (Solo Dance) to music selections according to the tempo.

  By becoming an Artistic member of  Roller City Bayswater Skating Club you have the opportunity to take part in the respective disciplines of Artistic Roller Skating.
